According to the latest figures provided by the German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of May domestic steel scrap prices in Germany decreased by €2/mt ($3/mt) on average compared to the same period in the month of April. In February and March, scrap quotations had recorded an average month-on-month decrease of €15-16/mt ($20-22/mt), while in April prices had increased by €12-19/mt ($16-26/mt) compared to the previous month.
In the first 20 days of May this year, German domestic scrap prices indicated a decrease of €12-19/mt ($16-26/mt) on year-on-year basis.
