According to the latest figures provided by the German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of January this year domestic steel scrap prices in Germany recorded a €5/mt increase compared to the corresponding period in the month of December 2014.
In December last year, prices had shown variations from -3.0 percent to +1.5 percent compared to the previous month.
On the other hand, on year-on-year basis, in the first 20 days of January this year German domestic scrap prices indicated a significant decrease of €34/mt on average.
