In December this year, local French steel scrap prices increased by €5.4/mt ($5.8/mt) on average compared to November, according to the latest data issued by the French Steel Federation (FFA). The increase follows the stable movement seen in November after the price decreases recorded in previous months.
On year-on-year basis, in December local French scrap prices decreased by a significant €81/mt ($88/mt) on average, as shown in the following table:
