Local quotations in Japan's Kantō region for H2 grade scrap have decreased by approximately JPY 350/mt ($3/mt) compared to price levels recorded on May 12 and are now in the range of JPY 21,800-23,000/mt ($198-209/mt) delivered to customer.

Meanwhile, SteelOrbis has been informed that no new Japanese offers to Vietnam for H2 grade scrap have been heard in the same period, though shredded scrap offers from Japan to the same destination as break bulk cargo are currently at $230/mt CFR, while ex-Japan shredded scrap offers in containers to Vietnam are at $255/mt CFR.
