India’s NMDC Limited hikes prices of iron ore lumps and fines

Indian state-run iron ore miner NMDC Limited has increased prices of iron ore lumps and fines by INR 250/mt ($3/mt) with immediate effect for October deliveries, a company regulatory filing said on Monday, October 2.

Following the hike, the effective price for iron ore lumps (10-40 mm, with Fe content of 67 percent and above) stands at INR 6,520/mt ($78.36/mt) ex-pithead and the effective price of fines (less than 10 mm, with Fe content 64 percent) stands at INR 4,460/mt ($53.20/mt) ex-pithead.

The prices are inclusive of mandatory levies like District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) cess and forest permit fees.
