Pig iron offers from CIS-based producers for Italy currently stand at $310-330/mt CIF, indicating an increase from the $300-310/mt levels indicated in our last report two weeks ago.
In the meantime, in the month of April total pig iron imports arriving in Italy amounted to just 60,000 metric tons, while pig iron stocks are observed to be down sharply both at Italian ports and in Italian mills’ yards.
