Domestic scrap prices in Italy have increased by a further €10-15/mt in the past week, supported by the trend of international raw material prices and by the good demand coming from Italian steelmakers. Currently, the situation still appears a bit confused in terms of prices, but it is evident that local scrap traders are seeking to bring prices back up to January levels. Accordingly, prices may indicate further slight increases in the coming days. Scrap availability in Italy is reported to be at normal levels.
