On the back of increased deep sea scrap offers, steelmakers in Turkey's Iskenderun region have started to evaluate scrap offers in the Mediterranean region.

An ex-Lebanon HMS I/II 80:20 scrap deal has been concluded in the Iskenderun region at $365/mt CFR, while an Israeli supplier has sold HMS I/II 65:35 scrap to the region at $325/mt CFR. In addition, an ex-Israel deal for a scrap cargo totaling 4,000 mt consisting of HMS I/II 80:20 and shredded scrap has been concluded in the Marmara region at $384/mt CFR.
