SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have risen by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 11,300-12,000/mt ($356-378/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 38,500-41,000/mt ($1,211-1,290/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early-to-mid September shipments.
