Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 39

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have decreased by NTD 400/mt ($13/mt) since last week and are now quoted at NTD 10,300-11,200/mt ($340-370/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
 
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have decreased by NTD 2,000/mt ($66/mt) over the same period to NTD 50,000-55,000/mt ($1,652-1,817/mt) ex-yard.
 
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early October shipments.
 
$1 = NTD 30.27
