Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 31

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have remained unchanged since last week and are still quoted at NTD 10,500-11,400/mt ($350-380/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
 
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have trended down over the same period, losing NTD 2,000/mt ($66/mt), and are now at NTD 52,000-59,000/mt ($1,735-1,968/mt) ex-yard.
 
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for middle of August shipments.
