SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 300/mt during the past week to NTD 7,400-7,700/mt ($244-254/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have moved sideways over the past week at NTD 32,000-34,000/mt ($1,055-1,121/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-August shipments.
