SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have remained stable during the past week at NTD 7,400-7,700/mt ($244-254/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have not changed over the past week, remaining at NTD 35,000-39,000/mt ($1,153-1,285/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-May shipments.
