Pig iron demand started to recover towards the end of April in the US. With declines in ex-Brazil pig iron offers, some transactions have been concluded to the US, and so prices have begun to move up in early May.

Accordingly, ex-Brazil pig iron export offers have increased slightly as compared to last week and are now at $465-470/mt FOB for July shipments.
