Wire rod prices from Turkey’s Aegean region increase further

SteelOrbis has been informed that offers from a producer in Izmir in Turkey’s Aegean region for 5.5-16 mm drawing quality wire rod have increased to $660/mt ex-works, while its offers for 20MnB4 grade have risen to $800/mt ex-works, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment.

In addition, the producer’s offers for 5.5-16 mm drawing quality wire rod are at $670/mt delivered to Istanbul and its offers for 20MnB4 grade are at $810/mt delivered to Istanbul. The offers in question are $10/mt higher than the offers from the previous day.

All the above prices exclude 20 percent VAT and are for cash payments.
