Wire rod prices from Turkey’s Aegean region increase amid costlier scrap

SteelOrbis has been informed that offers from a producer in Izmir in Turkey’s Aegean region for 5.5-16 mm drawing quality wire rod have increased to $650/mt ex-works, while its offers for 20MnB4 grade have fallen to $790/mt ex-works, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and costlier scrap prices.

In addition, the producer’s offers for 5.5-16 mm drawing quality wire rod are at $660/mt delivered to Istanbul and its offers for 20MnB4 grade are at $800/mt delivered to Istanbul. The offers in question are $10/mt higher than the offers in the producer’s previous price list dated Wednesday, October 25. 

All the above prices exclude 20 percent VAT and are for cash payments.
