Export offer levels from Turkey of SAE 1006 drawing quality wire rod and SAE 1008 mesh quality wire rod are being quoted at $990-1,000/mt FOB for late June shipments.
While the deals concluded from China to the export markets at the price range of $840-850/mt FOB have created pressure in southeastern Europe and the Persian Gulf, the fact that the CIS producers have increased their prices and sales to the US have helped the Turkish producers to raise their offers.
Meanwhile, in the Turkish local market the price level of 1006-1008 wire rods are at $960-1,000/mt FOB ex-works.
