During the past week, demand for ex-CIS billet has remained at low levels, while the previous liveliness seen in buyers' inquiries for ex-CIS billet is no longer evident. Ahead of the end-of Ramadan holiday (July 4-7), buyers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and in Turkey are still concluding purchases only in line with their needs. Market sources state that transaction activity is expected to be characterized by sluggishness in the coming week, while demand is expected to increase slightly after the end-of-Ramadan holiday.

Meanwhile, export offers for billet from the CIS region have remained unchanged during the past week at $310-330/mt FOB.
