Effective with shipments beginning October 1, 2008, Nucor-Yamato's raw materials surcharge (RMS) will be $213 /nt ($10.65 cwt. or $235 /mt), a decrease of $171 /nt ($8.55 cwt. or $181 /mt) from the company's September RMS. Nucor will make a corresponding upward adjustment to base prices, leaving net transaction prices unchanged for October shipments.
