Sources tell SteelOrbis that interest in US import rebar is still low, as US domestic rebar mills continue to offer foreign fighter deals despite their reported eagerness to set a price floor. Offer prices for US import rebar haven’t changed week-on-week as a result.

US import rebar offers from Algeria are still ranging from $39.00-$40.00 cwt. ($860-$882/mt or $780-$800/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports, while offers from Mexico are still around $42.50-$43.50 cwt. ($937-$959/mt or $850-$870/nt) DDP Houston.
