During the past week, Turkish wire rod offers to the export markets have remained stable at $460-470/mt FOB. However, in addition to the weakness of demand the competitiveness of ex-CIS wire rod offers have caused buyers in Turkish exporters' target market to exert downward pressure on Turkish wire rod export offers. As a result, $5-10/mt discounts on Turkish exporters' current wire rod prices are heard to be available in some cases.
