Turkish small sections - US market

Small sections from Turkey are offered in the US market for $510-530/mt CFR FO US Gulf ports. This represents a price increase of approximately $10/mt from our last pricing report on July 19, 2005. The pricing is trending upward as raw materials and billet prices are firming in the Black Sea region. US merchant bar buyers are now convinced that net price increases are coming for domestic products in September. This may mean import buying activity could increase within the next several weeks.
