SteelOrbis is informed that the most Turkish mills are not giving rebar offers for export at the moment. However, it is reported that some mills are mentioning price levels of around $785-790/mt FOB on actual weight basis for April-May shipments to destinations other than the US and Persian Gulf markets. Most of the mills have fulfilled their bookings for April and are offering for May shipments. Although the markets are calm in the US and in Europe, there is massive demand from the Middle East, Africa and the Far East. It is expected that the Turkish rebar prices for export will present a clearer picture with the appearance of scrap and billet market prices towards the end of this week.
