SteelOrbis is informed that Turkish mills are offering rebars for export at $515-525/mt FOB on actual weight basis for late November / December shipments to destinations other than the US and Gulf markets. After the slight decline which started last week in domestic prices, rebar export offers have also been adjusted. The scrap markets which are currently under pressure may affect the long market as well. Small tonnage offers to Ireland have been heard at Euro 450/mt CFR. Furthermore, recent bookings concluded to the UAE were at around $525/mt CFR on a theoretical weight basis. However, UAE customers are not interested in purchasing at the moment. Most are waiting until mid-October to negotiate for December shipment orders. Since the bulk of Turkish producers have sold their November shipments, exports lack aggressivity for the time being.
