One Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has cut its official wire rod price by $9/mt, while wire rod prices have remained unchanged in the rest of the country, amid ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand.

An Iskenderun-based mill has issued its official wire rod price at TRY 15,800/mt ($590/mt) ex-works today, September 5. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 26.78 for pricing in the Iskenderun region as no other exchange rate has been specified locally. Sources report Turkish mills have kept their official wire rod prices stable and are taking their time to cut their prices due to the sluggish demand, while additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers only.

Kardemir issued its wire rod price for SAE 1008-1010 grade 6-27 mm at $585/mt ex-works on Tuesday, August 29, and this price list is still valid.
