Turkish mills have mainly increased their official wire rod prices by $10-23/mt in the Izmir and Iskenderun regions, while remained unchanged in the rest of the country amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and costlier import scrap prices over the past week.

An Iskenderun-based mill has issued its official wire rod price at TRY 16,200/mt ($596/mt) ex-works today. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 27.20 for today's pricing in the Iskenderun region as no other exchange rate has been specified locally.

Most local buyers are taking their time regarding new purchases and monitoring the import scrap price trend.
