Turkish mill Kardemir opens its domestic rebar sales

As per its new price list dated April 18, Turkish steel producer Kardemir has opened its domestic rebar sales. Accordingly, Kardemir has opened its domestic sales for rebar at the level of TRY 1,259/mt ($591/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, for 1,000 mt and above orders, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral.  Compared to the price list issued on March 19, the producer's rebar prices have moved on a stable trend on local currency basis, while, due to the increased strength of the Turkish lira against the dollar, prices on dollar basis have moved up by $24/mt.
