During the past week, demand in the local Turkish merchant bar market have remained at low levels, while domestic merchant bar prices in the Turkish market have continued their upward trend against the backdrop of the US dollar gaining strength against the Turkish lira and due to the ongoing rises seen in import scrap quotations.
