During the past two weeks, Turkish merchant bar export prices have increased by $10/mt with the influence of the upward movement of import scrap and domestic billet prices in Turkey. Although demand for Turkish merchant bar in the export markets has improved slightly in this period, buyers are exerting downward pressure on quotations as they have not fully accepted the new Turkish merchant bar prices.

Turkish merchant bar export prices are currently at the following levels:

Price ($/mt)

Angle

410-420

IPN-UPN

420-430

Flat bar

430-440

All prices are on FOB basis and for October shipment.
