Today, May 15, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 50-100/mt ($3-6/mt) compared to the end of last week, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and the unclear financial situation in the country. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 15,650-15,800/mt or $675-681/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.

Icdas A.S. has kept its official rebar price at $685/mt ex-works today. A few mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions are offering rebar at $680-700/mt, versus $670-680/mt ex-works over the same period. Sources report the workable rebar price range seems close to $680-690/mt ex-works, while slightly lower levels are on the table for serious buyers only, SteelOrbis has heard.

An Iskenderun-based mill is offering rebar at TRY 15,900/mt ($685/mt) ex-works today.

A few Turkish mills has stopped quoting any rebar prices due to the unclear financial situation in the country.
