Today, July 13, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 450-750/mt ($15-25/mt) compared to Monday, July 10, amid the negative sentiment in the import scrap and billet segments and currency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 17,700-18,100/mt or $564-577/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 26.15.

Icdas A.S has kept its official rebar price at $620/mt ex-works today. One Izmir-based mill also kept its rebar price stable at $582/mt ex-works over the day. Moreover, one Marmara region-based mill has issued its rebar price at $610/mt ex-works today. In addition, one Iskenderun-based mill has issued its official rebar price at TRY 18,300/mt ex-works which equals to $583/mt at the current exchange rate, rising by TRY 150/mt ($5/mt) over the day. According to sources, the workable rebar price is below $580/mt ex-works under the current market conditions. A few mills in the Marmara region are expected to start their production stoppage by mid-July until the end of this month.
