Today, May 22, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have decreased by TRY 150-400/mt ($7-19/mt) compared to Thursday, May 18, against the backdrop of ongoing currency fluctuations and the unclear financial situation in the country. In addition, most local traders are attempting to destock material and are applying aggressive pricing policies. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 15,100-15,400/mt or $645-658/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 19.83.

Icdas A.S. has cut its official rebar price by $15/mt to $670/mt ex-works today. Sources report a few Marmara-based mills are offering rebar at TRY 15,500-15,650/mt ($662-669/mt) ex-works at the same exchange rate. In addition, one Izmir-based mill has issued its rebar price at $660/mt ex-works, while calculating the exchange rate as $1 = TRY 20.00.

In the Iskenderun region, a few re-rollers are offering rebar at TRY 15,100-15,200/mt ($645-650/mt) ex-warehouse today, SteelOrbis has heard.
