Turkish billet suppliers focus on domestic market against lower ex-CIS prices

SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that Turkish mills' export offers for 3SP-5SP grade steel billets are currently standing at $540-545/mt FOB for shipments in October. However, foreign buyers are not showing interest in these offers, which are higher than ex-CIS steel billet offers at $515-525/mt FOB Black Sea.

Consequently, abstaining from further reducing their steel billet export prices, Turkish mills are opting to focus on their local market, where 3SP-5SP grade steel billet prices are currently standing at $545-550/mt ex-works.
