The Turkish steel billet market has remained quiet in general. In the domestic market, some bookings have been concluded lately, though few in number. Currently, steel billet prices in the Turkish domestic market are standing at $575-595/mt ex-works, while ex-CIS steel billet offers to Turkey are at $570-580/mt CFR.

Turkish steel billet offers to the extremely quiet export markets are at $570-575/mt FOB, though no transaction has been heard at this price range so far. In the Persian Gulf and North African markets, Turkish suppliers' traditional billet markets, since Chinese finished steel offers are almost at the same levels as billet prices, it is reported that buyers in these markets are abstaining from purchasing steel billet.
