The local Turkish rebar market has made a quiet start this week with trading activity at very low levels. Due to the Turkish lira appreciating against the US dollar today, April 24, Turkish steel producers have revised their domestic rebar quotations downward. As a result, Turkish traders' domestic rebar prices have declined by TRY 5-35/mt compared to the price levels recorded on April 21. In some regions, the downward movement of domestic rebar prices has been slower due to the tightness of supply in these spot markets.
