Tokyo Steel is increasing its October prices on rebar

Tokyo Steel Manufacturing Co Ltd has announced October price increases “due to higher overseas prices and a tight domestic market.”

The company has announced the price increase on its products by JPY 3,000/mt ($27/mt) or by 3.3 to 5.1 percent. It increased its product prices in September by up to 5.4 percent. Prices for steel bars, including rebar, will increase 5.1 percent, to JPY 62,000/mt ($555/mt). Additionally, prices for U-shaped steel-sheet piles will rise 3.3 percent to JPY 93,000/mt ($833/mt).
