Rebar prices in the Turkish spot market have started this week with increases, moving up by TRY 5-10/mt ($3-6/mt) as compared to late last week, after have hit the bottom last Thursday, April 11. Some large volume deals were in the spot market amid the low levels witnessed in the past week, while a steel mill from the Karabuk region has given offers for 20 mm rebar at price levels of TRY 1,093-1,097/mt ($611-613/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT.
In the meantime, due to the softer demand caused by increased prices, rebar quotations in the spot market are expected to show weakness in the coming days.
