In the Turkish domestic merchant bar market prices on TRY basis have shown some softening due to the decline seen in the $/TRY exchange rate. As of today, April 30, merchant bar prices in the Turkish domestic market, depending on size, thickness and region, are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 830-850/mt ($520-532/mt), angles are at TRY 780-840/mt ($488-526/mt), while flat bars and square bars are at TRY 780-850/mt ($488-532/mt) - all prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT. Also, it should be considered that some mills may give offers below these levels depending on their stocks.
