Slight increase in local wire rod prices of Turkish mills as week ends

SteelOrbis has heard that the current offers for 1008 grade 6.5-8 mm wire rod in the local Turkish market are as presented below. Today, it is observed that mills' prices have increased due to the increases in the €/$ exchange rate and in semi-finished product prices. At the end of the current week, some producers started to raise their prices up from the mid-week levels of TRY 810-830/mt under the same delivery terms. It is also heard that end-users are having difficulties in getting a quick response to their price enquiries. In the coming week we will wait with interest to observe end-users' response to these price levels.

The above prices are on actual weight basis. The dollar prices exclude VAT, while the TRY prices include VAT.
