SDI follows Nucor with $45/nt price increase for rebar and merchant bar

Steel Dynamics Roanoke Bar Division announced December 9 that it will raise prices for rebar and merchant bar by $45/nt ($2.25 cwt. or $50/mt), effective with shipments January 1, 2011.

Additionally, SDI announced December fuel surcharges as follows: 20 percent for truck shipments and 7.2 percent for rail shipments.
