It is observed that the sharp rises seen in import scrap prices in Turkey have pushed domestic rebar prices in the country up by TRY 30-60/mt since July 24. On the other hand, buyers are seen to be slowing down their domestic rebar purchases, preferring to maintain a wait-and-see stance, as they are concerned about the rapid rises seen in prices.
