Revival in purchasing activity in Turkish steel mesh market

SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that prices for 6 mm steel mesh in the Turkish domestic market have remained unchanged in the past two weeks and are still standing at TRY 1.29-1.31/kg ($666-676/mt) ex-works, exclusive of VAT.

Market players state that a revival has started in purchasing activity since the begining of this week and they expect that the rise in purchasing activity will continue in the coming days.

As for the export side, ex-Turkey offers for steel mesh to Turkmenistan are at $680-700/mt FOB, while offers from Turkey to Brazil are at $740-750/mt FOB.
