SteelOrbis has been informed that in the Italian domestic market rebar producers have generally kept their local prices unchanged in the past two weeks at levels of €425-435/mt ex-works, with just a few producers reducing their offers slightly in order to attract demand. Local buyers are in wait-and-see mode, but in general Italian steel mills continue to keep their prices stable.

As for the export market, all Italian producers are offering rebar at prices in the range of €420-425/mt FOB for May deliveries. Rebar demand is currently low in the Algerian market, but some traders have ordered material at €420/mt FOB in the past week. Italian rebar export prices have increased by €5/mt compared to around two weeks ago.
