The quiet waiting mood in the Turkish domestic rebar market is continuing. Despite price decreases in raw material and semi-finished steel, rebar prices have declined since end-users have been maintaining their wait-and-see stance in expectation that prices may decrease further.

The rebar prices in the local Turkish market are as follows:

Region

                        Price

Marmara

      TRY 1,350 - 1,370/mt ($969 - 983/mt)

Izmir

      TRY 1,350 - 1,370/mt ($969 - 983/mt)

Iskenderun

      TRY 1,350 - 1,360/mt ($969 - 976/mt)

The above TRY prices are ex-works and including VAT, while the US$ prices are ex-works and excluding VAT.
