The Italian mills are offering medium size rebars to the local market in the price range of around €535-545/mt ($788-803/mt) ex-works, with two to three month open account, excluding VAT.

No big change has been observed this week in the local market base rebar prices in Italy. The rebar base prices continue to stay at €320-330/mt. However, the continuing upward trends in the international rebar and billet markets may cause the Italian producers to increase their prices in the local market.

On the other hand, it is heard that the latest deals concluded to North Africa for April shipments are at €525/mt ($774/mt) FOB. The rebar export offers in general are at €530/mt ($782/mt) FOB for the time being.
