SteelOrbis has learned that mills in Romania have been offering local production 8 mm rebars to the local market at the price level of €730/mt ($1,031/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT on actual weight basis with 30-day deferred payment; meanwhile, the mills are offering local production 12 mm rebars at the price level of €710/mt ($1,003/mt) ex-works with the same terms.

The rebar price levels in the local Romanian market have decreased by approx. €115/mt as of yesterday, September 11. Declining global rebar price levels are the main reason for the movement in question in this market.
