SteelOrbis has learned that the local production rebar price levels in the Omani domestic market are currently at $440-450/mt ex-warehouse on actual weight basis for three-to-four month deferred payment. It is heard that end-user demand for rebars in the local Omani market has been at significantly low levels. In the Omani market where 60 percent of rebar consumption is met by imports, import rebar price levels are $10-15/mt higher compared to the abovementioned price range.
