SteelOrbis has learned that, while last week steel producers in the Iskenderun region of Turkey offered rebar to Iraq at $665-670/mt ex-works on actual weight basis and for June shipments, this week offers have declined to the level of $660/mt ex-works on actual weight basis and for June shipments.

On the other hand, the local rebar market in Iraq continues to be negatively affected by sluggish demand, which places downward pressure on prices. Accordingly, this week rebar quotations in the Zaho region of northern Iraq have softened to $730/mt ex-warehouse.
