Brazilian rebar prices for export remain at $600/mt, FOB conditions, the same as last week, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

According to the source, prices are expected to remain stable in the short term, despite overall increases in steel prices, as rebar has already achieved a level in line with international prices.

Brazil usually exports rebar to South American and Caribbean countries.

In July, with price deals probably closed in May, Gerdau exported rebar at $471/mt, while the Votorantim group exported at $512/mt, both FOB conditions.
