After some Turkish steel mills closed their domestic rebar sales, the market has seen some improvement and prices have moved up. Demand for rebar from mills has been expected to increase as traders' finished steel stocks have been diminishing. For now, traders state that rebar demand in the domestic market has improved compared to the previous week.
Rebar prices have increased approximately by $20/mt since last week in the local market, while rare rebar sizes have been sold for as much as TRY 5-10/mt ($9-18/mt) higher than the general price range.
